In 2016, I and my sister Lilla were invited artists at Foundation Vasarely in Aix-en-Provence. Since the invitation was connected with the 110th anniversary of the Hungarian born artist Victor Vasarely, our main purpose was to work together with the energy of his hexagonal rooms. In this unique geometrical atmosphere we built our project around the idea of tuning up the differences between us. In the same time we tried to create a playful and lively mood, setting up a dynamic and friendly dialog.

Lilla exhibited pieces essentially focused on the experience of spatiality. Her works are characterized by the sober lines and compositions that free from excess. She used several types of collected wood and branches to create different drawing compositions through the space. Lilla is interested in the optical games and she often uses the effects of reflection in her work.

My sculptures embody the feeling of a constant restlessness through the changeable movements of the organic lines. My intention was to create a soft geometric landscape where the lines loose from their sharpness and dissolve in a tender pulse. I used simple and humble materials like papier mâché and colored bed sheets. The objects transcribed the idea of rhythm, sequence and repetition of minimal gestures into the different spaces or onto canvases and papers. The works had no precise history or meaning. They enable free associations for the viewer, and allow metaphoric feelings from reality and recognizable shapes of nature.
