Walking the Line, 2017
Atelier Cezanne, Aix-En-Provence

Together with Lilla we had the opportunity to realize an exhibition at the garden of Atelier Cézanne in Aix-en-Provence, with the support of Nouveaux Regards organization.

We both presented 100 + 100 drawings which were connected to the exhibited installation. Lilla’s Yellow Line was running across the garden of Cézanne and drove us through secret hidden places of this unique little park.

Following the line we could meet with my Decagon object. The volume appears in such a way that only a gaze can go in through the vision of a blurred image. We could just suspect the exact nature of the content by the colors, the intensity of the lights, the slow movement of the central form which increases and then slowly disappears. All these details perceived together gave us the sensation of a gentle and strange levitation.

The domed form of the Decagon object may also evoke a temple which dominates us from a little domestic heaven. It may also provide a sense of protection, like an encaged spirit that could gather and protect our own revelations, our own vows and secrets as intimate believes.
